Former Chattanooga mayoral candidate Wade Hinton launches diversity and inclusion consulting business
Aug. 27—Former city attorney and mayoral candidate Wade Hinton's new company focuses on advancing work he has spent his entire career pursuing, he said.
"If you ask organizations how they're doing on diversity and inclusion, I think all of them will say they can do better," he said. "As well-intended as they are, there still are some that are stuck. We can assess where they are, and create a strategy to get them where they want to go." -
Chattanoogan Wade Hinton seeks to measure and promote diversity and equity with new community inclusion index
Wade Hinton grew up on Chattanooga's Westside raised by his single mother and a host of friends and supporters.
From that experience, Hinton says he learned the value of community and gained the support, education and encouragement to go on to law school and eventually to become the first persons of color to be the city attorney in Chattanooga and one of only a few Black Chattanoogans to have senior management roles at different major corporations in Chattanooga.
